Carboxylates
Chemistry: In anionic surfactants the hydrophilic group is negatively charged. Chemistry of these products and the processes for their industrial production differ greatly from one class to another. What they have in common is that the intermediates for the production of our anionic surfactants are quite often alkoxylate nonionics.
Applications: As well as the chemistry, applications may differ greatly from one class to another, too. Anionics are the most commonly used surfactants in cleansing applications owing to their ability to bring soil into wash solutions. Nevertheless, our anionics found applications in many other industrial sectors.
