Esters of Alpha-Hydroxy acids
We have been one of the first company to develop esters of alpha-hydroxy acids, namely citric and tartaric on fatty alcohol ethoxylates (e.g.: Eucarol D and Eucarol B/M).
Most famous and recognized by the markets are our Eucarol® AGE: alkylpolyglucoside esters.
Based on carbohydrates they are well-known for being very effective as primary or secondary surfactants due to their strong wetting power.
Acylglutamates
Our acylglutamate are formed by the the condensation reaction of natural fatty acids with glutamic acid.
They are surfactants very mild to skin and eyes reccomended in Personal Care applications to lower the irritation potential of conventional anionics like laurylsulfates and laurylethersulfates.
In addition they impart a moisturized feeling to the skin and have good conditioning effects on hair providing a soft and silky touch.
Personal Care
In Personal Care, Eucarols and are mainly used in toiletries, in particular in baby care as primary or secondary surfactants depending on formulations.
Eucarol AGE are normally reccomended for highly bioldegradable and natural formulations since they are readily biodegradable and conform to Cosmos and Natrue cosmetic standards.
They are manufactured and certified according to the RSPO’s Mass Balance supply chain model.
Agriculture
In Agriculture, the Eucarol range includes anionic and non ionic surfactants, all characterized by the effective reduction of the system' surface tension and therefore used as Wetting Agents.
They can be used in different crop protection formulations as built-in adjuvant or in tank mix adjuvants formulations.
