The Malawi water wells
Lamberti's engagement in sustainability topics is becoming stronger and stronger.
We first announced our collaboration with Piantando on our Personal Care webpage, explaining why our business unit chose such a great initiative for their #respectwater project. The personal care goal is to reduce the water consumption in the making of their products, and ideally, this water saved is one of Malawi's well project we are supporting.
As for the project itself, now Andrea Evangelista, the founder of Piantando, is in Malawi, where he is supervising the construction of the new wells. Local people are extremely excited to be finally able to draw fresh water so close to home, without having to walk long distances every day for their water supply. It's a life changing event for them!

Piantando, together with Il Pozzo dei Desideri, builds water wells in villages of Malawi that do not have access to clean water sources. It is hard to build a water well in Malawi, but not impossible. New wells in Malawi are meant to provide thousands of people with a safe water source.
As Lamberti Personal care, we are proud to be involved in such a project. We are thankful to Piantando for the opportunity they gave us and for the great effort they are carrying out in building the well, which will truly help improving health and growth of local Malawi's community.
