Our Monosized Polymer Beads are composed of highly crosslinked and entangled polyacrylate chains in an irreversible and perfectly reproducible spherical shape insoluble in all solvents including water.
They are inert with low residual reactants content, that gives them a low hazard profile.
They are produced from controlled polymer grade raw materials.

The researchers in Microbeads are former students of late Professor Ugelstad and his co-workers from Norwegian University of Science and Technology (NTNU) and they are proud to continue the journey of exploring the possibilities of this unique technology, patented since 1977.

The collaboration with the research partner SINTEF, who contributed to the global patent protection of the Ugelstad technology, has continued in several R&D projects, and further strengthened the knowledge base, with a great focus on sustainability.

Our knowledge and experience have allowed us to apply the patented Ugelstad technology with high consistency at an industrial scale, and we strongly believe there are plenty of new applications and possibilities yet to explore.

The technology and our knowledge allows us to adjust various material properties of our Monosized Polymer Beads such as particle size, surface effect, toughness and overall chemical composition.
